Kristine AlexanderKristine Alexander can easily be described by the things that she loves; her family, friends, being creative and photography. Kristine is a full-time wife and mom and part-time photographer.  She grew up in Texas spending most of her time traveling, sailing and watching her father take pictures. In 1988, she became a Georgia girl, attending The University of Georgia where she met her husband, John. After graduating in 1992, Kristine worked as a staffing consultant at Randstad Staffing Service in Gainesville. The highlight of her staffing career was when Randstad was chosen to be the “official staffing sponsor” of the 1996 Olympics. Kristine got to work to fill a variety of positions at the rowing venue such as ticket checkers, bus drivers, athlete transportation coordinators and translators.
When John and Kristine decided to start a family, they did so quickly. They had two sets of twins 13 months apart. They went from family of two to six in record speed. She always had a love for photography and four babies made her realize the extent of her obsession. She bought her first “good camera” to capture every moment that comes with being new parents. She realized that taking pictures was not just a hobby; it gave her joy and she knew she couldn’t stop.
Kristine loves to embrace natural light, simple poses and candid shots. She stays away from trendy shots, lots of props and heavy use of photoshop and filters.
“I don’t want to distract from the purpose of the photo, which is to capture you exactly as you are, at the beautiful moment, with the people you love, in an image that will stand the test of time,” she said.
She is a lifestyle photographer specializing in family, children, high school seniors and special moments. Kristine has captured many local events such as the Charity Ball, Marketplace and Dancing for a Cause. The whole creative process of vision, planning and creating fun photo shoots is what Kristine loves.
We thank her for sharing thoughts about her life and love of Hall County.
