Meet Sumner Pirkle! Sumner is a senior at Gainesville High School, lifelong Gainesville resident and is representing the Gainesville Jaycees in this weekend’s 2017 Gainesville-Hall Junior League Charity Ball.
Sumner is the daughter of Andy and Jennifer Pirkle, plays tennis, is involved in Young Life and a member at First Baptist Church. She and plans to attend UGA or Auburn after graduation. Currently, her sister, Jordan, is a junior at Auburn.
We want to thank Sumner for taking a few minutes with us recently to share more about her life and love of Hall County with us.
Question: Who has been your favorite teacher over the years? 
Answer:
 “Karen Jackson, she’s the Early Childhood Education teacher at Gainesville High School and she’s been like a mom to me…she’s more of a life teacher and I admire her.”
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Hall County and what do you like to order there?
A: “Blue Fin, I eat there at least once a week. I get the hibachi chicken and fried rice.”
Q: If you could take a celebrity to lunch, who would you take and where would you go?
A: “It would probably be Taylor Swift and I would ask her to take me to the nicest restaurant she’s been to.”
Q: What is one of your favorite childhood memories?
A: “One year, I was probably 7 or 8 and it was my parent’s anniversary week so my grandparents took us on a trip and they surprised us with a Disney cruise and we were there on my birthday and got to go to Atlantis and swim with the dolphins.”
