Sweet Magnolias, anchors Main Street Market on the Downtown Gainesville Square, is a popular lunch spot for a selection of gourmet sandwiches, the popular Rebecca’s Famous chicken salad along with soups, wraps and salads.
Rebecca’s Famous chicken salad at Sweet Magnolias is extra special because it is made with a mix of pecans, celery, special seasonings. You can choose to have the chicken salad sandwich or a scoop topped on a bed of organic greens.
Recently, we had the Turkey Reuben topped with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and thousand island dressing served on marble pumpernickel with homemade pasta salad. The sandwich was warm and perfectly toasted, definitely a favorite choice on the menu. The pasta salad is topped with a tasty Italian dressing and feta cheese.
Other favorites at the cafe are the Gourmet BLT with peppered bacon, the Veggie Sandwich on Ezekiel bread and the Hot Homemade Meatloaf sandwich.
