Since 2008, Phong Le has been serving up some of the best seafood in North Georgia, and some say even the best in the Southeast.
Seafood lovers make special trips to the eatery on Atlanta Highway for fresh orders of fried shrimp, po boys and other traditional Cajun dishes like gumbo and etouffee, not to mention the best market to buy fresh seafood in the area.
Le grew up on the Gulf Coast working on a shrimp boat during his teenage years and learned most of his cooking techniques from his mother.
Since opening the restaurant, it has grown to be one of the most popular in Gainesville and Hall County, which is apparent when looking at their Yelp and Urbanspoon (95 %) ratings, some of the highest rankings in the area.
The restaurant is typically full but the fast paced atmosphere will have you enjoying your meal quickly.

Try the grouper po boy and a small side of red beans and rice for a perfect meal or be a little more spontaneous and try the salmon ba mi with spicy aioli sauce. Ba mi is a traditional Vietnamese sandwich that is served on crusty bread with toppings like cucumber, jalapenos, pickled daikon radish and carrots with mayonnaise and cilantro.
Whatever you choose on the menu at Atlanta Highway Seafood Market, you surely won’t be disappointed!
