Meet Jenny Atkins! Jenny has lived in Hall County all her life and is an active member of our community. Jenny is a member at The Edge Church, just off Price Road in Gainesville. There she is a youth leader and is involved in the worship team where she sings every Sunday and Wednesday.
Jenny is the Communications Coordinator at The Norton Agency.
We want to thank Jenny for spending time with us and telling us more about her life and love of Hall County.
Question: What is your favorite thing or something unique about Hall County?
Answer: “The people, they are kind.”
Q: What high school did you attend growing up in Hall County?
A: “I actually attended three high schools growing up, Chestatee, North Hall, and graduated from Mountain Education.”
Q: What three words or phrases that come to mind when you think about the word HOME?
A: “Peaceful, Original, and Welcoming.”
Q: How long have you lived in Hall County?
A: “All my life, I was born at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.”
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “I’ve always wanted to go on a hot air balloon ride. I’ve heard there’s one in Helen every year that I’d like to go to.”
Q: What current/ former local business makes you the most nostalgic?
A: “Growing up, Christmas was always a big deal for us, we would always decorate our house and go look at all the different stores during the holiday. My mom had her own store called Crafts for the Holidays at Lakeshore Mall, which was open from October 31 to the end of December.”
Q: Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
A: “I would like to see myself more involved with ministry and also the community.”
Q: What do you do in the Music Ministry?
A: “I am a part of something called United One Collective, Inc., where it’s a whole bunch of ministry participants from different churches and different counties that help other churches when they possibly didn’t have enough people.”
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Hall County, and what do you love there?
A: “Olive Garden and their salads.”
