Meet Mariana Latimer! Mariana currently at Industrial Pipe in Gainesville, is applying to grad school and has worked with Chattahoochee Riverkeeper. Biology and conservation are her passion.
Mariana is getting married to David White in October. Her parents are Chris and Pam Latimer and she has two sisters: Madilyn and Malissa.
We want to thank Mariana for recently telling us more about her life and love of Hall County.
Question: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
Answer: “Currently, I work for Industrial Pipe. But I have a degree in Biology and am going to grad school soon to….hopefully at the University of Georgia. I work with the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, as well.”

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Hall County, and what do you love there?
A: “I’m so happy that Zen Ramen opened, I love not having to go to Suwanee to get good noodles.”

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met in Hall County and why?
A: “I’d have to say Lydia Sartain. I am friends with her daughters and have become very close with the family over the years. Lydia is such a strong woman…and can do just about anything.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “South Korea, I would love to travel there and try all the food and learn more about the culture.”

Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: “‘Interstellar,’ I’ve watched it over 10 times and I’m still not tired of it.”

Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?
A: “Don’t be afraid of self care. It’s ok to be a little selfish and take care of yourself, say no to people if you need to.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “To go skydiving. I am really scared of heights but I think I want to experience sky diving.”

Q: What is your favorite music/ three bands you would like to see (dead or alive)?
A: ” I love alternative music and my favorites are Courtney Barnett, Tame Impala and Blood Orange.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about Hall County?
A: “I would say the location to the mountains and Atlanta, you have it all here.”

Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: “I love googling random topics and learning about whatever I can so I have a plethora of useless facts saved up in my mind.”

Q: What three words mean “Home” to you?
A: “Family, Friends, and Pets.”
